Frequently Asked Questions
What do you use to treat wrinkles?
The short answer is Tox (widely known as Botox). There are several different brands of Neurotoxin, but they all act to relax the muscles in the face in order to prevent or soften facial wrinkles.
Why do people always refer to anti wrinkle injections as Botox?
Botox is a brand of neurotoxin (anti wrinkle medicine) that has been around since the 1960s, and it has been used cosmetically and therapeutically. However, in recent years other brands of neurotoxin have been in use and have proven to be just as effective. These brands are Xeomin, Dysport, and others.

Do the Injections hurt?
It depends on which service you receive. Most clients report "Tox" injections feel like a pin prick. Dermal fillers can cause a little discomfort, however you will receive numbing medication prior to the injection.
How long will my results last?
The results vary from person to person. Every person, injector, and treatment is unique. There are certain products that provide a longer lasting affect but you have to consider they may not offer the look you desire.

Can you describe your training?
After 20+ years, in healthcare with the last 12 years, as a Nurse Anesthetist, I attended the Beautiphi Academy in Rochester Hills, MI for training in neurotoxins, dermal fillers, chemical peels, PRP Microneedlin. This is a nationally recognized course, with extensively trained educators, that offered thorough didactic training as well as extensive hands on training. I participate in annual additional training that provides me with cutting edge knowledge as well.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a procedure that uses small, sterile needles that go along the face making "micro injuries". These micro injuries generate new collagen and skin tissue to smooth, firm, & tone skin. This treatment is performed in conjunction with PRP application for maximal skin rejuvenation and repair.
How can PRP help with the darkness under my eyes
After three small injections under the eye, PRP causes collagen growth, and this helps to tighten loose skin around the eyes to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
How long after treatment should I see results after Tox & Filler?
Generally for both Tox & Dermal Filler it is suggested you should wait 2 weeks after your injection to make any assessments or changes. This allows all swelling and bruising to dissipate. At this point, the results of the treatment should be set in.
What type of results should I expect with any treatment?
Every client is different and the way you react to your treatment is unique! There are many variables that factor in with aesthetic treatment, namely anti wrinkle injections and dermal fillers: the type of product, the amount, your history with aesthetics, and medical history, are just a few. It is important to remember this is a journey not a race, and this journey is specific to you. It is difficult to generally say what results you will have, hence the importance of a consultation prior to treatment!
